Jumped from page 4, so it might have been said.

The rear lights aren't specifically EK9 lights, they're just 99 spec rear lights. EK9s have the same rear lights as any other Civic the same age.

no my friend, they're ek9 ones, as the facelift don't have the bulb holders for the jap tail light conversion

Ahem. I've had this discussion on another forum and given that I had an EK9, I think i'm qualified to answer.

This is (was) my EK9, when I purchased it. Note the standard rear lights, which are the same as the normal rear lights fitted to any pre-facelift Civic.

I then bought a normal set of 99+ rear lights, which fitted without any alteration and didn't require any hacking about. I gave the original lights to a friend.

Then, when I sold the car, I sold the 99+ lights and fitted a set of UK spec rear lights that someone gave me.

As you can see, the lights are identical (in appearance) in the first and last pics, despite them being the original ones fitted to the car for the Japanese market, and the last set being from a UK Civic.

The only difference with the bulb holders is that JDM cars didn't require a fog light and so some alledgedly didn't have the bulb holder. This is not unique to EK9s, as it affects all imported Civics.
