Tax may have expired in advance of the insurance and MOT. If we had the reg we could askmid.com it.

i know u need insurance to get tax but you dont need tax to get insurance, so he may well be insured but just not bothering with the tax, as hitting someone without insurance will make him far worse off than just not having tax.
but ive forgotten to tax my car and ped before and would of dreamed of using either until it was sorted

And how has the argument changed into speeding when the issue here is the fact this person thinks its ok to drive around with no tax/MOT/insurance?
noone said driving around with no tax is fine, i just wouldnt grass anyone up for it, thats what your like and this is what im like noone wil change it, its just the way people are, but hey speeding kills tax dosnt,
im out
Its because of people like you so many people get away with illegal shit in this country, the old 'doesn't directly effect me so i dont give 2 shits!' well it does effect you
No-one is saying you should go around hunting for illegal cars, just if you know of one report it, help save police time and money. If everyone reported cars which are illegal then there would be no need for anpr's

Update.
Car stil untaxed, but numberplate now on front bumper. Dad is a special for the police and has looked up on their database and it is indeed uninsured, he has logged it on the system for the police to pick it up if they see it on the road.

Well i still dont agree with grassing so no.
and just because it doesnt come up on their database, doesnt mean its not insured, there was a distrit nurse in the paper the other day,she was left stranded at the side of the street by police who impounded her car for no insurance when infact she had insurance.
My aunt works in the dval swansea office and she says no database is even 90%accurate as yet.
and it can take weeks for your car to show insured on the databse.

Just because it isnt on the database doesnt mean its un-insured.
Could be inured by a foreign company, a small company or even on a traders policy.
Having no insurance is dodgy, I cringe just thinking that i never had it for 4 days nevermind months.
Crash or get caught and your fucked.
