Look at it compared to the roof.
Its too dark and you can see too much of the weave.

This is how my bonnet is looking. I think it looks fairly realistic.

Well, to me that don't look carbon, it just looks grey. I used to method on the digimods tuts.
Meh, oh well, I won't bother with the CF then.

Necro:
Yeah you want your CF effect to be nice and subtle. Because it already had the CF roof, just colour the bonnet the same as that and add the weave, but very lightly

That's pretty good imo mate, except that the wheels look like they're made of cardboard. Plus you need some shading on the tyres.

Good work though other than those two points.

Are you sure the donor image for the wheels is at a similar angle? It looks like the wheel you've used was from a side-on photo. That'd be why it doesn't work.

Its the same with me, duno why but even if the donor wheels are the same angle, they still don't look quite right.

I reckon you're doing well too mate, it's better than I could do anyway.

Quick notice:

Can I remind everyone to upload their final images in no larger than 1024x768, purely for the poll. If you have already posted a larger one in this thread then don't worry too much, I can upload it again and have it resized, unless you want to do it yourself and post it separately.
