Well, changed the oil filter and plugs today along with a wash using the 1 bucket 1 sponge method. I didn't have time to change the brakes or fit the lower brace as we was mad busy in work, had to get off the ramp. They'll be on at some point this week though.

Shitty cam phone pic, also note how much the boot has changed colour around the badges

Beleive me I did today, even had a machine polisher on it and it's still the same I'll be getting the boot resprayed soon anyway as the laquer is peeling a tad around the window rubber. You can only notice it on an angle anyway

Hardly noticable from this angle.

I know, it's fine to drive but I can just tell it's on its way out, slipping every now and again etc. Can get one for £90 anyway so not too bad.

In other news, I just went to Halfrauds...60 mile round trip was well worth it though, country roads all the way there

Tomorows job:

Good plan on the waxoyling, did the whole XSI before the MOT, now look at it

Will need to do the GTI too.

Clutch is a pretty easy job, only 4 bolts holding the box to the block.

Really, thought it would be harder than that, Think I'll only do they wheel arches tomorow as I plan on doing other stuff, I'll go in on Saturday when it's quiet and get it on the ramp to do the underside.

Shafts out, linkages off, clutch cable off, reverse sensor plug & earth off, starter motor off, rear mount off, jack under sump with a bit wood to support the engine, top mount off, unbolt box, replace clutch, refit

Lower brace is on, makes a hell of a difference It's a good few inches off the floor still so clearance won't be an issue. Sorry about the shitty cam phone pics, will get better ones soon.
