Bought a decat pipe and got it fitted at my mates garage today. Must admit , I'm not too keen on the sound. Now is mega loud , almost stupidly loud and rasps a lot more than before which I don't like. Might put the cat back on haha

I like it, Splitter makes it slightly different to the other arden blue sports with gsi kit.

Decat is always a 5050, With my sportex it was mad. Chav inside me loved it though.

Chris = not many decent conditioned ones around now , only reason Ive got this spitter is because I couldn't find an original.

Alex= part of me is glad its like that, but then I remember I'm not driving a Daytona , it's a corsa Haha. Think it sounds a bit silly

update: 1/12/11

hopefully going to pick up a new engine for the car on saturday. X16XE. plans are to take it apart , have a look , rebuild if needed. then get it all painted up and get it fitted.

comes with the loom , ecu, transponder and gearbox , among other things , so should have some stuff for sale soon.

pics will be up Saturday evening hopefully.

took the car off the road tonight and got the winter one going. there's a world in difference!

went out today to Eastbourne to pick up my new engine.

X16XE & Gearbox
loom
ECU
Chip & Transponder
driveshafts
2.0 brakes

all for £200. headgasket had recently been done and therefore new belt aswell , so was happy.

started moving in on the hoist towards my car and all of a sudden the rope snaps and the engine smashes on the floor! sump has a massive whole in it and oil has pissed all over his workshop.

bloke couldn't apologize enough and in the end got the lot for £150 , so im happy. all i need is a new sump...

taking the weight.

gearbox off

other bits and pieces

what sort of BHP would this engine be capable of with a powerbox and manifold?

Time to start buying new bits!

Should be a easy conversion though, That 1600 got a flat flywheel?

BHP wise, 115/120, Depends how strong it is.
