I am worried about us signing De Gea Hope I'm wrong to be.
Quality keeper, future Spain number 1 but it is a lot of money for a 20 year old goalkeeper considering he won't peak for another 10 years!
Still, I wouldn't doubt Ferguson.
Casillas > Reina > De Gea
Casillas > Reina > Valdes > De Gea
30 > 28 > 29 > 20
So yeah, future number 1.
Yeh not trying to argue, more backing up your point
I'm not sure what you posted it for really, its like you were trying to get some kind of put down in there cos he's signing for United
Where is the put down? How is being 3rd best keeper for the best international team in the world behind Casillas and Reina a put down?

You just had to get that in there for some reason. Not sure of the point of it.

11 - David de Gea conceded more goals to shots from outside the area than any goalkeeper in LigaBBVA this season. Coveted

Wenger has confirmed interest in Benzema. I personally think that's as far as that will go. I can't see him leaving RM unless they bring Aguero. Plus Wenger isn't going to spend big money

Pending how big is big, I think you'll find he'd make an exception for Benzema. He definately likes him and suppsoedly bid £20-25m for him when he wanted to leave Lyon (Wenger confirmed on our site at the time that he'd made a bid but got outbid by RM). If we're talking €25m which is what they seem to keep saying, I genuinely do think he'd go for him. Whether he actually wants to leave is another thing but he also has said before (on TV) that he likes Arsenal and would like to work with Wenger and the many frogs in our team

There might be one less frog if Nasri takes Evra's advice.
Also do you think Wenger has £25m? [without selling cesc] they had to raise season tickets again for a reason?

He has more than £50m I'd say. Bank covenants mandate that all transfer fees received are available for re-use on the playing squad ina ddition to profits etc.
The reasons he chooses not to spend it all is that he doesnt want to prohibit the development of the existing squad(!!) and also that £50m or whatever has to be for the entire aquad, rather than one big splurge etc. but he can certainly afford one big siging. I'd say £25m would be the absolute absolute highest amount he'd ever spend

Interesting. I had a long debate with a mate when he wanted Spurs to sign Benzema ( ) saying I didnt like him.
If Arsenal want to buy him I am going to eat a massive slice of humble pie.
I dont see it happening tho.

He has a definate attitude problem but Wengers always been good at sorting those out. When he's on form he's a beast, strong, skillful, physical and a hell of a shot on him. The only issue I see is how do you fit him into our system (IMO, move RvP out to the left and let him drift in like Henry, he does that a lot in the matches anyway, and minimise his defensive duties to pass them onto someone else, say Wilshere)
