Got my springs through today. they look alright, will fit them in 4 weeks when I get time off work.

I have 3 weeks off work in 4 weeks, thats why. Dont want to do it on a weekend incase I snap any bolts like what happened befor on my focus.

3cm, I thought they looked weird also, but they're exactly the same shape as the standard springs.

fitted my rear springs today (by myself, willay!)

ended up snapping one of the wheel bolts when doing them back up so have to try and get that out, but as theres 4 others in there, it should be fine for now.

was rather easy tbh.

just pissed off that one of the bolts snapped. something always has to go wrong when i do things myself.

unsure was using my breaker bar to do the bolts up, and they didn't feel very tight, so kept going and it just snapped they're the same bolts that have been on since new and are a bit rusty so wonder whether they've become a bit weak.

shouldnt matter if they are the original bolts or not, they shouldnt snap. i still use the original bolts of my girlfriends 1995 corsa

Send me a pic of the bolt and dimensions. I have 20 bolts from E39 so could send you some for postage money if they are same bolts

browsing the forums as you do and found a pic of it with silver wheels. definitely mine as the guy's location is where i bought it from and the plates 3 digits match up.

I think you should invest in a torque wrench.

Silver wheels look alot better.

it looks the same as every other z4 with silver wheels though

i shall be buying a torque wrench. this is the first time this has happened in the 5 years i've been using it though.
