I think you should stick to it and find one with less miles like I did

pain in the arse looking I know but I still think waaaaay more easier than pissing about trying to make a WRX into an Sti...might aswell buy an Sti in the first place

You can get nice WRX that's been owned by grandpa for a third of the price. I'm also thinking that buying one as my daily when I do 600miles a week is daft. Same money spent I could get a nice diesel (or more conservative petrol) of some sort and a WRX. Parts I listed would be £500 or less, me and mates fit, remap £250, STI powahhh! I've actually thought about buying a classic as a second car also. Loved my white STI, shouldn't have sold it tbh.

Could someone answer the question tho?

Looks great. Only that WR1 style lower grille gives me a sad face.

Look forward to more pictures...

This is giving me ideas, perhaps I should move onto a newage soon...

cheers Ellis, yeh the WR1 grill will be going, don't worry about that

I dunno, P1's still have a bit of a cult following, only one more collectable than yours a 22B

Wanted a scoob with lower mileage anyway, and not many P1's with low miles about, and if they are they are obviously more expensive

WR1 grille looks much better painted black and is probably something I'd buy/fit to protect a FMIC.

Looks like a beaut Steve, enjoy

Get to drive mine on Sat for the first time in 3months

Brett I really think that a WRX is a bad call. The 5speed box is supposed to be much better than the six speed in terms of driving on the road, much longer gears and a lazier driving style.

Strength-wise though, they just don't like north of ~340bhp (or more to the point, the typical torque you get at that level).

They're dead easy to get to 320-330bhp like what most STI's get with a remap, probably less than 500quid of second hand STI parts and a remap... but then you're stuck without a 2k gearbox.

That's not to say the 6speeds are bullet proof, eh Barnshaw but they're much better placed if you do end up slowly creeping on the mods and upping the power.

Only slightly tongue in cheek Brett but 400 a month to drive about in a mediocre old BMW, must surely be something £/smile better.

they want 2k more because they are cheshire performance, they literally browse the forums and buy private sellers cars and then put up on the forecourt next day for 3k more, advertising them as "great runners" etc etc etc, having only had them less then 24 hours.

Yeah knew it was overpriced. Very nice though.
