So Mclaren have gone from crap downforce with a great engine, to great downforce with a potentially crappy engine

Lewis also done an impressive amount of laps today. One slight issue with water Cooling or sometbing, but no big deal.

Very impressive reliability from the Mercedes' factory team.

Its great to see them back but it looks like they'll be running a 2014 car if they make it back to the grid so they'll be MILES off the pace, they'll be getting lapped after about 10 laps

F1 needs teams so im glad to see them back, its just a shame that because of the way F1 is run, they're so hamstrung financially that they're basically not even racing in the same category.

No...

Apparently most teams have gained around 50bhp. If Mercedes haven't done much, it'll be a lot closer.

Mercedes said had already found around 60bhp before the end of the last season so would expect them to have found even more over the winter

I still think there's a Bernie/FOM conspiracy.

Most of the footage we've seen from winter test is from broadcasters or amateur footage. The F1 cars always sound louder in the flesh and on alternate footage than they do from in-season FOM stuff.

Bernie trying to lower the price of F1

Will admit most shots of the cars were in the pitlane in isolation from huge crowds and absent from other cars.

Sounded nice though!

Manor/Marussia entrance with the 2014 Car has been blocked by 3-4 Teams not agreeing. They are now very unlikely to be participating in the 2015 Season.

Lotus, Force India & Sauber didn't vote in agreement/acceptance.
They will now get Manor/Marussia's 2014 Prize money divided between them though, which is probably part of the reason why they voted against them returning.

Shame.

Reports suggest that the advancements of teams would bring them close to the merc engine of last year, but merc are rumored to have at least another 60bhp

Therefore there is huge focus on in season development as the gap is going to get bigger they feel as merc have such a development advantage

Honda are rumored to be very close to the merc engine of 2014 with the design. Renault and Ferrari are facing huge challenges redesigning to match the steup of merc

I'm pretty sure we can divide all of these power figure improvements by 10.

Newey reckons Merc had 70bhp over them last year? Bollocks. RBR would have been nowhere better than 5th in the WCC if that was the case.
