Lovenkrands to Newcastle.

You usually get others coming out in the next wee while that got pushed through quickly.

If Rothen wins 5 derby games/Champions League games/League winners I'm a monkeys uncle.

Think it was a swap deal for Gerrard and Torres.

I may as well tell the whole story now...

We agreed a €25m fee with Valencia approx 4-5wks ago, and also agreed a 5yr £85k a week deal with Silva. The stumbling block was that Silva and his advisors wanted him to be paid in a certain way so he would avoid the 50% tax hike thats coming in. We totally refused to do this due to the clubs finances being under scrutiny already and this not being seen as totally legit. And the deal fell through. I know for a fact they were still discussing things up to approx 2-3weeks ago but nothing.

The owners than yanked that transfer budget from Rafa which is why he walked out the other week (before the Villa game was it?), so that actually happened.

Kilmarnock isn't a derby game Only time will tell if he's a shrewd signing really.

rangers finally sign someone

we needed a centre half and we signed a left winger

we needed a decent left winger anyway but would rather hald got a defender

It's an excellent idea Mark. If Broadfoot doesn't blow his face up with eggs anymore, Stevie Smith can play left back instead of left mid, Broadfoot in the middle and Rothen on the flank... It's the best plan ever formed.

Nice one Mark, your new left mid at right mid with a left back behind him and your right back and right mid on the left. That is sure to fox the opposition
