Here we go,big big update!
Stage 2!
Engine is in and all bolted up. Had no troubles whatsoever getting it in,took our time and didn't scratch or catch anything. Couldn't go any better. Well the weather could have been better as it was pissing it down all bloody day, even snowed at one bit.
We started off by Ash fitting the 1.2 start and charge loom and grinding the rear gearbox mount up so it was flush. And then double checked everything and then wheeled it round to the front.
Also want to thank Shaun for driving an hour and half to help us out, appreciate it dude! Scott for a helping hand and most of all Ash for helping do everything near enough, couldn't have built it without him and learning all about them of him. Cheers Terrance! And Luke for not making drinks.
Here's some pictures :
And the bay all ready
And then all fitted, redtop Ash,serious power!!
And then completely forgot how low rear end was going to go
Engine ready and covered from rain
Car hoisted up and engine underneath
Nearly there
Then car lowered back down
Then all bolted up after alot of swearing with the rear gearbox mount
All nice and level
And the clearance of the alternator,Ash will be making a 5mm packer for it to sit better
And then this how we left it
Hope everyone likes
Oh and then i tried to start it and it didn't start. I wonder if it's because loom isn't fitted.
