Quaife is working well then. They are supposed to be quite horrible to drive on anything but a smooth surface

well shitter of a day , up and left the house at 5am, got to pod just after 8, signed on and was first in the que, first run took it easy to warm everything up and did a 13.1 @126ish , came back round, burnout and it didnt feel right, pulled up to the line and launched and again it didne feel right like a missfire, only got into second i think and took it slow then but it sounded like something fell of my car and hit the underside(had go pros on and it sounds like this on there to), pulled back round into the puts and did some checks, but still had the missfire, stuck new plugs in it, no luck new leads no luck and then found a week spark so needed a new coil, tried everyone at pod with a vauxhall but no one had one, even went over to the car under the monster truck and took that one of but it didnt work, big thanks to gaz who was on the forums and ebay after someone braking a xev near pod, quick text to james(jonboy, jonlem)and he arranged ash to meet me at the unit , thanks again guys , 2hr20min round trip and i was back at pod with this

it was now getting on to 3 oclock stuck the coil on and it was still missfiring above 3k, decieded to call it aday then but thought i would check the cambelt, this is how tight it was

http://s422.photobucket.com/albums/pp306/bigron1988_photobucket/mar%2012/?action=view&current=792558df.mp4

got a feeling its jumped a tooth on it so winched it on truck, not very happy atm as today without fixxing it its cost me about £230ish and i only got 1 run in , but i dont think its damaged the engine so atleast theat a good thing ,

and also broke my coilpack bracket

need to go gregs and pick my new tougher one up

my dipstick used to do that. the ridge where its supposed to kinda lock in to the tube was bust. replacement spare sorted it. or try nipping the end of the tube with some grips giving it a squeeze. hopefully aint crank case pressure....

have you checked the timing mate?
How the car run under 3k?
maybe worth doing a compression test aswell mate to be 100% and would put your mind alittle more at rest weather you have to open her up.

no mate had a quick look at the cam marks and it does look like when the tension is out of the belt it will be a tooth out, going to do a compression test when ive put the belt back on properly, car ran fine under 3k untill it got reved over 3 k then it had a miss till you turned it of then on again
