Time and time again this season he's had disappointment and quite major setbacks to his WDC campaign - and has come back strongly the next session/weekend/whatever.
This is what I meant. His mental mood and coping mechanisms have improved. Did it effect his races? Sure it did. How could it not? But as I said, throughout the season he has improved and it has shown in his bounce back capabilities. He even said in his interviews, I know what I have to do now. My race craft is spot on (improved all year) just need to sort my qualifying out, which tbf is a harsh criticism as its pretty bloody good anyway. Can't win em all, but he is striving for perfection now in a cool and collected way.
Can really see Lauda's influence TBH. Very nice to see him blossoming into one of the greats IMO.
Im glad Mattiachi has gone, can't remember if he was a temp? Don't think that was the case.

The headlines say he has been sacked - so I guess not a temp! I could have sworn that his appointment was never intended to be permanent though, as the Ross Brawn rumours have been around pretty much all year.

Was he not head of Ferrari America? Proper harsh if he's been kicked out altogether! Oh well, that's the risk you take.

Definitely not. They're testing tomorrow iirc. F1 development never stops!

Can't see this working out well at all for Ferrari unless they can find a spot for Ross Brawn. They really need someone with experience to turn things around.
Bet Vettels worried too.

Think he fucked up the Alonso thing so thats why he has gone
Here is the Scudo link, says he is head of all Ferrari Motor racing as well as being team principal. This means essentially that the Ross Brawn stuff cant be true

Yet another Spaghetti Italian in charge. It will continue to go the same way its going until it gets a strong Brawn/Todt type leader in place. Proven countless times Italians are not good at the helm of the Ferrari F1 team.

Dennis wouldn't say either way, but interesting commenting from a reader lower down that MClaren will have 3 cars next year.

Common sense
Tobias Grüner F1 ‏@tgruener 15m15 minutes ago
The #F1 commission has decided: standing safety-car-restarts & double points will be scrapped 2015
also
#F1 Radio clampdown also scrapped from 2015 rules. Drivers & engineers allowed to talk unrestrictedly about whatever they like.

I thought the radio clamp down worked quite well, I wonder why they've turned back on that. Glad to see the Safety Car changes though. Scrapping double points was announced ages ago.
How long before they realise letting the lapped cars unlap themselves under the SC is a shit idea too, when they could just let them filter to the back?

Seems the Mclaren Honda isnt working too well right now, to be expected right enough given they are basically not even where the teams were in March 2014.
3 laps managed yesterday, 2 today and its just stopped out on track.
I know they've had the benefit of seeing what others have produced this season but i feel its still going to be a while until this package is producing podium challenging performance. You can do all the research in the world but it cant compete with real world data, of which the other 3 engine suppliers all have one full season of now, they were always going to be playing catch up.

Sure there is a technical reason for this, like it would screw the timing up or something

RE: Radio Clampdown. Thank god, it was a bollocks rule that was unenforceable.
RE: Safety car, Steve is right - their excuse is that the lapped cars would have one fewer laps recorded at the end of the race. I refuse to believe this is a show stopper though, it's just a bollocks excuse.
RE: Double Points, gutted - in the end the double points actually gave us a semi-representative scoreline
