Do you know if you could use a garmin with a turbo trainer? Perhaps if you used the Cadence sensor would it give a rough distance/ave speed reading?

Never used one but those Tacx ones get mentioned fair bit.

Sure a mate logs his turbo sessions on strava via his garmin device.

I've been out on the trails quite a bit in the dark the last few weeks it's actually really good fun. I spent most of the start of this year doing 15-20 miles a night on roads near my house in the dark with some lights on.

Strava requests accepted Shaun and Jamie

Why would you want to input a stationary push bike data to a GPS route and ride recorder like strava? What the actual????

When I used Runkeeper, I used to log gym sessions on it. I use Strava/Runkeeper as a training diary more than anything else; I already know where i've ridden.

im sure you can get summat for your shoes to work with the garmin whilst on the trainer (I could be mixing up cycling with treadmill though )

You can analyse efforts power, lactic thresholds, hearts rates etc

Depends how anal you are but, like Ed said, it would be more of a training diary for me

I've used Sports Tracker/Strava for indoor training. Depending on what info you put in but gives an indication of average speed, calorie burn etc. Essentially replaces Cat Eye style bicycle computer.

What has wheel size got to do with how much the shock compresses

Either way, I need my five in that colour!

Ran both strava and endomondo on the way to work, both reading completely different lol. I know strava doesn't knock off the pauses and endomondo does. Strava said 17.3 average endomondo said 18.3 which is bloody good IMHO through town traffic. Got 2 pr's on way to work so that's me happy with getting my fitness back on track!!!!

My ride to work is very stop start, traffic lights etc. Pisses me off when you are banging along good average then slow down/track stand at lights then you lose a ton off your average.

Yeah same mostly although today I got a good run through Carlisle City centre only had to stop at 2 sets of lights. I can't track stand so takes me a bit to get my foot back into the stirrup thing pmsl

Strava does remove pauses only shows moving time when you look on the proper site it shows resting time

Definitely hasn't for the last week and a bit ride to work and back. It's showing real time without removing pauses. It's a flawed set up imho
