went vauxhall today to get my gear linkage cups

and the boot that covers the gear stick

old bushes

fitted the new ones and it feels alot tighter, also found out what the band was on the vid from pod, gearbox to block one of the bolts had come out, and also all of the bolts that bolt gearbox to engine had worked there way loose dont know why tho as they were tight and had used locktight , but i think thats where the hard vibrations were coming from, will keep a eye on the bolts from now on ,also new turbo is over in wakefield and i need to go the mappers and collect it as its getting droped of there tomorow so will have some pics up tomorow night of it

thats what mine did them smashed part the casing off. all my bolts were lock tighted in as well, and had the tags folded over on the plate that comes with the 3 bolt mount thing. how much were the bush cup things? my vauxhall parts place won't sell them like that, want me to buy a linkage repair kit for a ridiculous amount. ebay lists the cups and cir clips about £3 for the lot.

try one of them if you're still on the plastic rod at the top of the linkage as well.

I used to pop the plastic one off all the time never happened since I fitted one few years ago.

I've never encountered the boot problem until pod. Can't see the new mount coming loose as its bolted in an L shape around the box, but you never know. Find out if I ever go back pmsl

Do up to around 700 won't they on a 2 litre 4 cylinder? Using your old exhaust housing I take it? Couldn't believe they don't come with one and is about 300 quid extra pmsl.
