I very nearly bought one during summer, had zipp wheels on and looked amazing. When I finally get another road bike it's defanately one to look at for me.

Mine was a bargain off Jimbo the barbarians mate, barely used like new tbh £250 with some extras. It's a decent enough bike I've done 1200 miles on it since feb.

Yesterday was perfect weather for riding, did a great 30miles around the chilterns takig in great views and sunshine, only thing missing was a spare hour for a mid ride pint! Hope there are a few more of those days left this year

probably a stupid question... but does a lighter bike make much difference?

I imagine my bike is around 12-15kg if not heavier (not weighted it but i know its pretty heavy for a road bike)

Would a lighter bike really make a great deal of difference in climbs/general riding?

When I upgraded from the Specialized Allez to the Cannondale Supersix I noticed an immediate difference.

I am sure its mainly psychological though.

I went from a lightweight mtb with no suspension to my road bike and the difference is pretty big. Makes you race more cars and traffic and generally fuck yourself up

I wouldn't dream of climbing a hill while out the seat on a mountain bike but I always do on a road bike.

I wonder does real light weight bikes actually suffer at all?

I've saved 500g off my wheel weight which gives better rolling resistance. And I could definitely feel the difference at Cannock. Wasn't just because I was feeling fit, because I wasn't.

So yes, a lighter bike will make the difference!

Massive different with a light bike IMO. My mtb flys up hills compared to my older bikes.

Got my first puncture on my tubeless tonight. I pulled a thorn out and it was hissing. Got to my destination 20mins later and it hadnt let any more air out. Took if home 8 hours later and is still up. Why is this and how do you fix a tubeless tyre?

I was reading up about it last night and sounds like that has what has happened. There was some white stuff that came through the hole but it wasn't set. Is this normal? I was going to out some sealant in but looks like it already has some.
