bit more done. its a fair long process involving measuring, trial, measuring, checking, tack in place, check and move on. but anyway, its good fun. honest.
passenger side door bars tacked in place
started to weigh up and do some measurements for the rear pieces. lots of bits to go in the back. about 8 pieces then the centre bit that goes to the exhaust tunnel.
will carry on with it more on saturday. borrowing a plasma cutter to cut the holes for the bars that go to the front turrets. as i say, lots of measuring and lots of fun.

Going at a good pace Nic, Won't be long till the cage is done and you're sorting the fuel system.

and so for todays fun and joy and stress free modding. the last part of that may be lies.
wings off.
found charcoal thingy cannister, so threw it away.
in quite good condition for a 16 year old corsa.
started on the rear of the cage
layed the back cross on the floor and tried to work out the lengths and angles etc. this really didnt help much.
partly cleaned the screen wash bottle. will finish it off another time.
started on the rear diagonal and cross bit.
had a break for some chips and curry sauce. very cold in that unit so food steamed a lot. was tasty. followed by a hand rolled cigarette. lovely.
rear cross in.
rear lower stays in
strutt bar in
adam approves
a lack of hair cuts pays for car parts and modifying.
johnathan welds away
then thats all inside the car all tacked together.
got the front bits to have a go at probably on tuesday. then got to play about with swirl pot, fuel pump and fuel lines. then sand the insides down and paint away.
that seems a good place for the swirl pot.
its been a long day today. thanks for looking.

thinking about getting the following to go in the footwells.
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NEW-rally-car-alloy-footrest-clutch-rest-floorplate-kit_W0QQitemZ280456064407QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item414c7bed97
also going to change the harnesses for some 3inch 4 point ones. im after some that will attach to the rear strut bar of the cage. wrap around them kinda thing. i cant find what im after on the bay. all seem to look too short. if anyone knows of anywhere or links to places i can have a look at some from, please post them up. thanks.
