Fuck me temperature must have dropped 10 degrees here over night. Was freezing riding in this morning. May have to dig out the arm and leg warmers!
Think the wind may have changed direction too.

I was thinking earlier, will we ever see riders with trail course badges sewn onto their arse a la nurburgring sticker?

ever noticed when using strava if you dont try and be a weapon shouting "move strava time" at people in front of you, and just plod along enjoying the bike ride you seem to go faster and get better times on sections? last night i went and did leg work in the gym, was pretty fucked and got on 8th place on the way home. mental. plus i think strava fucks up a lot.

Cubes aren't too bad tbh, just check out some reviews online.
Nic Barnes - don't go too mad with double socks. Too tight shoes will restrict blood flow and have an adverse affect. Wear good, warm comfortable winter specific socks. Check out Seal Skinz or something from Endura.

Tbh if my BMW was working I'd have been driving the last 2 days lol. I'm ok with the cold just the wind up here the last few days. Biked to work today then out on mtb later if the barbarian is still coming? Mileage like a pro!

Cold and rain not an issue for me but like you say wind is a bitch. I do find something quite rewarding about just getting my head down though when it comes to a head wind. Makes me feel manly

Went for a nice ride out to ae forest near Dumfries with Jimbo the barbarian. His is the big wheeled bike in the picture. Was a good day out, it's a rough trail and still features a drop on the descent back to the car park that I can't overcome the fear of lol.

What one you got? Im looking at the aim and acid 29er ranges. Seem like half decent specs for not too much money. Just want to know if they are reliable enough and if anything to look out for? Dont want to buy a new bike then spend money on it straight away because bits need upgrading. I will upgrades things eventually just not right away.

That was one of the best rides out I've had tbh! Climbs that nearly killed me and the downhill.....priceless! Rough and rocky and fast as feck..
You know its been good when you're literally shaking with adrenaline/fear at the end!

I got the AMS 120 race 29er, got a load of free shit with it one of which was a dropper post. I swapped the nobby Nic tires for hans damphs but that was a personal preference. I've also converted to 1x10 but again that was personal preference.
Only thing I've had was front wheel bearings are a little rough but that was my own fault for getting to jiggy with the pressure washer. Plus the shit I've chucked it through isn't funny. I'm shite and I tend to ride though stuff because I can't avoid it lol. Stuff like today flinging it down stuff the downhill boys play on with careless abandon. For the money I can't fault it and I tested loads of different bikes.

Cheers for that.
Was just looking for someone to confirm im not gonna be wasting money buying it. It will be used pretty much daily and from what ive heard from a few others it should be up to what im needing it for. (Pretty much everything) can always upgrade bits when I need to.

Not bad gear from new tbh. You could easy buy one and not touch it with stuff it comes with.
Just ask about warranties when you buy one.
