Hellboy 2 - 8/10

Fucking masterpiece! Guillermo del Toro is one the absolutely best fantasy directors.

I prefer the original. Wish they would do a 3rd. Maybe they will now he isn't attached to The Hobbit.

I'm sure H3 will happen. Both del Toro and Perlman are determined to make a follow up.

Regarding the first vs. the second, I honestly think you need to rewatch them. H2 is much grander and more "Epic". It's one of those few movies that manges to have a thousand things going without getting clustered or messy. It's a fairytale superhero movie with fantastic imagery and fantastic characters. Hellboy was great, but H2 is just on a whole different level.

IMO of course...

Perlman is nearly 70, they better hurry up with it!

I always preferred the first, although I do agree with you on the fantasy stuff, its visuLly amazing, I just prefer the story and overall film of the first.

The Dark Knight - 10/10

Guess there's not much to say. Perfection!
I remember days after it was released and every one was praising Heath, which had me thinking: "Sure, now he's dead everybody loves his work" but honestly, I can not believe there's even an actor behind that make up. No wonder he needed medication...

Same. People were banging on about him and I had the exact same feelings. And again, after having watched it I was blown away. He is/was one fucked up individual, perfect for that part.

+1. I've watched it 4 or 5 times now and it's better every time. Wish I had gone to see it at the cinema though!

Friends With Benefits 7/10
Pretty funny and Mila Kunis mainly in underwear or less scores this one quite highly!

Cineworld are doing Batman Begins and The Dark Knight back to back showings for a standard ticket price today - only at 5 or 6PM though.

EDIT: As are Odeon, I'd guess Showcase are too.

EDIT: My local Odeon are doing The Dark Knight tonight... tempted! http://www.odeon.co.uk/fanatic/film_info/s32/Derby/m11207/The_Dark_Knight/

Contraband - 5/10

TBH I was too knackered to watch a film but I gave it a go and I just couldn't get into it. Switched it off just after halfway through.

I watched that a few weeks ago, it's alright and worth watching until the end, I'd probably give it a 5 or 6 / 10, the "kid" in it is just annoying though.

Just finished watching How I Spent My Summer Vacation with Mel Gibson - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1567609/ - cracking film, 7/10.
