After yesterdays ride out with Nic I challenge you to drop your chain. I tried my fucking hardest yesterday and to no avail.

I want you to be honest and no tinterweb bravado either, just tell the truth. I thought I'd have to swap to a clutched rear mech but, nope, normal mech and no chain guard/guide.

An average short ride out round here is about 1500ft of climbing. I remember you pushing up all the hills at Cannock cole and they were small pmsl.

So its been a month now since I quit smoking - this was one of the main points of doing this charity Lejog .... and something I had not managed to do over the previous 10 years.

Im certain ive cracked it this time and I have to say im absolutely loving it - feels like I have been training at altitude over the last year lol Can pretty much feel a positive improvement every time I do some exercise - pretty chuffed ive got it nailed this time around and the cycling has definitely helped give me incentive

Have to say, I finally got around to reading this http://www.amazon.com/Allen-Carrs-Easy-Stop-Smoking/dp/0615482155 and it completely changed things for me .... not really into self help books, but if you want to quit, or know anyone else who does then go get a copy

Anyone have any experience taking a dog out with them in the trials?

Seen a few folk about with dogs and I'd love to take my German Shepard pup out. She's coming up a year old and it looks great exercise for the dog and it would be nice company. Anyone do it or tried it?

My mate takes his collie/whippet out with us. It's all fine apart from the car driving wankers who give him shit and think they know best. The dog loves it.
