Yours hasn't got a cooler if its the 1 in the pic. So he was shit or didn't try.
I don't own a CTR i own a Corsa C20XE. I drive a CTR sometimes. I can keep with it to 80-90. Then when i hit my longer 4th and his car thats more aero dynamic than a skip pulls away.
They have an LSD and piss over any car without 1. They grip really well. Half due to lack of torque albeit.
The facelift CTR is a fair bit quicker than the old 1. Which you probably raced.
CTRs run slow times on the strip because no1 can launch them.
Cleverly they dont rev above 5500rpm on the spot. (there rev limiter is pre vtec.)
I don't think many people no this. So you effectively have launch control!
You the guy from ClubPolo?

But a CTR will does and should beat a Corsa C20Xe.... - No it doesn't, not in this case anyway
Yours hasn't got a cooler if its the 1 in the pic. So he was shit or didn't try. - Oh no! No cooler! Throttle bodies dont need a cooler
I don't own a CTR i own a Corsa C20XE. I drive a CTR sometimes. I can keep with it to 80-90. Then when i hit my longer 4th and his car thats more aero dynamic than a skip pulls away. - Maybe you're just a crap driver? Or maybe your car doesn't have TB's? Or maybe its not got a power to weight ratio that matches mine? Etc etc....
They have an LSD and piss over any car without 1. - Not true. I have my proof where's yours?
They grip really well. Half due to lack of torque albeit. - Well, thats a good way of getting traction isn't it. That LSD must be working overtime huh?
The facelift CTR is a fair bit quicker than the old 1. Which you probably raced. - Had the new style rear lights & was a 54 plate If I remember correctly. Only 10 bhp differance though? (Is that right?)
CTRs run slow times on the strip because no1 can launch them. - So maybe he was crap at launching? Hence why I was infront? Starting to contradict yourself a little here...
Cleverly they dont rev above 5500rpm on the spot. (there rev limiter is pre vtec.) - Very clever. I shall bear this in mind next time Im shopping for a car that I want to pretend to drive whilst stood still
I don't think many people no this. So you effectively have launch control! - I didn't know this. But then again, I don't really care either
Blah blah blah

I think you are a little bit confused about how cars work
The engine is the part of the car that produces power, this power in turn is what makes the car move. Its made up of many components that all work in harmony to feed the engine with fuel & air, ignite it, move pistons, turn gears, turn driveshafts & finally move the wheels.
The more power your engine produces means the faster the car moves. Also if it weighs less you get a much better power to weight ratio which also makes you faster as technically there is less of the car than usual.
So just to clarify, the engine makes a car fast.
A badge that contains of a red letter "R" does not make your car fast.
Its all about what is powering the wheels & how much the car weighs.
This may come as a big suprise to you but not everyone buys a car just to say "I have a ..........."
My car has power, and mods to make it safer/handle better
I own a car like this because I enjoy driving. It might not be perfect, but its fun.
People who own cars such as CTR's spend nearly 20K & think that they are the best cars out. Why? Because it cost 20K.
No one really expects a Corsa to be fast. More to the point, people who spend 20K on a Civic dont expect a Corsa to be fast.
So maybe the question should be "Why would you spend that kind of money on a Civic?"
God knows.....
^ This should be topped I think

It amazes me how people purely judge cars on how fast they go up santa pod.
It doesnt mean they are good/fun to drive on a normal stretch of road.

Yes--- I drove loads of cars that are quicker in a straight line than the cooper s when i was looking at which car to buy.......none of them were more fun to drive round a bend than the mini was.
Civic type r was nice but I really dont like the way it looks--- Its a great all round package though

that is a really stupid comment well done
what do you consider to be good, a mock mini in a BMW suit, proberly, when i see it as just a marketing ploy to get people to buy a car thats ok, but wouldnt be anywhere near as succesful if it was called a BMW 1 series etc
so where does this leave us, we all have diffrent opionions, but the way you word them make you look like a twat
