Just also found this in my book, although can't find any info online about it:
'As an example of how large a diesel engine can be, a 12 cylinder diesel engine built by Fiat Corporation of Italy had a normal power output of 25,200 hp (18.8 MW) at 122 rpm, a cylinder bore of 90cm and a stroke of 91cm.'
That is huge!

Doubtful. This is full of non spam and non sillyness, and there's probably a limit on what there is to talk about and what we are capable of understanding
We shall give it our all though.
Not that we actually want to beat Victoria.

Right gents, it's half past two on a school night AGAIN, and i'm still up and on here, so I am now going to my bed to collapse and slip into a coma until my two alarms rudely awaken me several hours prematurely.
Nighty night

Crikey.........I didn't think it'd go this far.
Flat four is the same as an in line four engine. It's just the pistons are at 180 degree angles to each other. The same goes for a V-Twin.

cam has a pin and two sets of lobes on the cam, then the engines reachs a certain revs, the pin locks engaging the other set of lobes, which lift the lifters higher and open the ports for longer increasing the power
(in other words it makes a louder noise)

Reading this reminded me of the F1 engine stats, something along the lines of the pistons travel at such high speed that if they sheared from the conrod somehow, and passed through the cylinder head, theoretically they'd have enough momentum to travel a few hundred feet up into the air

I think so. Also, Rover did VVC. That was like VTEC but done a bit differently (i think).
