Well, today i washed it and gave it a good polishing. Unfortunately i left my clay and the wax at home...so i didnt get everything i wanted to, done.

Pics are crap and grainy, due to my phone being on the wrong settings. Will get better ones tomorrow i hope!

here's some for now anyways!

Like i say, the pics are crap...but with my phone on a better resolution and a better location, i should have some tomorrow!

hey guys...thanks for the comments!

my phone was on the wrong setting ad! All the other pics in the project are taken on this phone...but it had reverted bk to 800x600 is back on 1200x900ish now tho!

it has set me back about £2500. That is including the car originally, but i got that for free pretty much, as i sold the bits and made ma money back (sorry Paul! )

The seats are indeed out of a Fiesta RST, and are the only ones that are black. There are charcoal and beige variants that came out of the escorts...there is a set of charcoal ones for sale in classifieds...but they usually go for between £150 and £200 for the pair if in good nick.

Unfortunately...the car is far from perfect. there are dents and scratches everywhere...but that will be sorted eventually.

Yeah fair dooes like mate paying 2.0 insurance on a car that goes like a 1.4 sport definately seems like a good idea. Money well spent

You appear to think that your opinion counts for something here...but you are trying to put down something that a) isnt finished, and b) you clearly have no experience of.

This car has been pretty much built from scratch, and so is gonna take some time to get right...but i assure you that when its right, it will be better than any XE conversion that has just been cobbled together and chavved up.

My aim is to build a unique car that has got that little something to separate it from the rest, as well as gaining all the experience i have of doing everything MYSELF.

So please just keep it to yourself and leave me and my project alone if you have no interest in it.

Well i have aquick update having managed to get some jobs done.

The alternator bracket is now a more permanent and secure item, although still not perfect...but it is certainly safer. And, having recieved a bottom pulley from Slash ( top bloke!), I can get the belt worries sorted.

The rad fan is now on a switch by the gear stick, which is a relief as it sounded awful!

And the final little mod that i have sorted is the choke cable. It isnt quite secure as yet, but it just requires a hole to be drilled into a metal piece i have. Does work though, so no more popping the bonnet to start it up!

So just the CV boots and fitting of the bottom pulley to sort now and then i can move onto pressing matters like the sump...oh and the cam timing needs looking at IMO. Thats where the power loss is happening.
