Update
These arrived on Wednesday (thanks S@M)
Spax PSX rear adjustable dampers a bargain at £20 delivered.
Unfortunately the corrosion monster has gotten to them and seized the adjusters solid.
Despite my best efforts to free them, such as:
They are still solid.
Oh well, even if they won't adjust it will be better than my current rear set up of one standard rear dampers and one old jamex damper!

Update
Today at work I stripped down the Spax PSX's, corrosion was rife throughout the bush seats. This was abolished by the fury of the wire wheel. Unfortunatly despite the efforts of myself and several other aerospacey folk the adjusters were adamant not to relinquish their hold on the body of the damper. Then I lay their constituent parts out in an anal fashion like so:
Stella
Upon getting them home I applied satin black hammerite, liberally, to all exposed bare metal. I have kept the stickers with the hope of re-application once the curing process of the paint has elapsed.
Also at work today I treated my M Tech powercap to the wire wheel treatment with frankly astonishing results as can be seen in these snap shots
I'm immensely pleased with the outcome of the afore mentioned procedure. A state of elation was reached upon gazing upon its shiny surfaces.

Not a problem Sir, I'll give you a bell when the time arises, the rebuild of the bottom end should be within the week as I have now acquired all the parts.
And yes, I do rather enjoy a good update, not that anyone ever comments

Also, the more astute amongst you may notice my dampers are defying gravity with their horizontal shenanigans.

I take it the rear adjusters have grub screws to lock them into place and you've undone them? Don't know if they do, but my GAZ shocks had a grub screw to lock the adjuster into place.

No, just a screw adjuster. Half of the screw snapped off but managed to cut a groove to get better leverage but to no avail unfortunatly.
And lee stickers aren't really going back on. And I'm going to spray them matt black I think.

Update
Cleaned up my pistons and rods today after work. Old piston rings are fantastic for cleaning out the grooves!

Update
Painted my damper bodies matt black ( Lee ) and built them back up
Then fitted them tonight, and oh my quite a difference over my one uprated and one standard rear damper set up! Best its ever been handling wise with the polybushed front end as well, handles like it's on rails. God knows what it would be like if my tyres weren't shot!
Also fitted my piston rings but no pics of that.
