There's no point, they will still vote for the one they want and most people would just vote and not reply anyway. Like me

Cheers mart08uk and Neo, only a day and a half or so left and I haven't finished yet
Posting who you voted for is quite a good idea imo, but most people won't do it, and I'm pretty sure some people are voting for themselves even after being asked not to so they obviously won't reply either.

The fact that people are voting for themselves is one reason we should make it mandatory that they state who they voted for.
If they also gave some constructive comments (good and bad) about the chop, it could help them for the next one.

Obviously they will vote for the one they want.
Why would you vote and not reply. It wouldn't take that much effort would it?

Most of the people who look at the poll don't vote and that doesn't take much effort neither.

How do you know they look at the poll and don't vote?
The polls only have so many views because people keep clicking on it to see how they're doing.
I know i do at least once a day.

Yeah, good point.
Also, I'm still looking for comments about my carbon bonnet on page 11!
I had another go, posted and no one's said anything

You've maybe gone a bit too extreme this time. Can't see the weave at all.
Instead of following the digimods tutorial for CF (which is a bit dated and rubbish these days), have a look at a real carbon fibre bonnet.
This pic for example:
You don't really see a twirly weave. Its more of a very tight mesh. Obviously, the further away the photo has been taken, then less detail will be seen. Hense the lack of visible carbon on the roof of the m3. We know its carbon and therefore its exactly how carbon should look from that distance and that light.
Try and match the colour as much as possible, this helps a lot.
If you nice in my pic, you can't see much (if any) weave near the windscreen, but as you get closer to the grill (especially the bottom right hand corner where the bonnet curves round and the light gets it) you can see some of the weave.

If ya squint, ya can see the weave. Obviously in PS, the pic is bigger thus the weave would be more visable. Anyways, if that still don't look right, I ain't gonna use it, too much hassle, espc since I'm not even sure it looks right with a different coloured bonnet anyways.

Exactly, but ultimately we can't enforce anything like this. It's a shame that on this forum software you can't see who's voted for what, which you can do on vB.

Apart from the one case of the no voting for yourself rule I can't see any good reason for voting not remaining anonymous, not just for this, for anything on the forum.

I couldn't have enough patience to do my roof properly, otherwise that'd be purple as well

The roof would only take a few seconds to do.
Use the 'colour replacement tool' select the purple colour and paint it on the car roof (will change the colour, but keep the varying lightness)
Then just darken it using brightness/contrast
10second job

That looks good Seany. Only thing I would change would be to take away the purple tinge from lights, grill and plate, apart from that its spot on. Interior has come out very nicely
