Lil' update
New set of piston rings turned up, so finished pistons off
Got waterpump fitted
Main bearing caps and big end bearing caps all done
Oil pick up pipe back in
Time for new gasket and magnetic sump plug
Sump back on
Dog decided to help out fetching sockets dont actually know why it had a fascination with them though
Todays plan was to get the sandwich plate fitted and head back on. But didnt quite work out right Managed to get wires from the bay to the cabin, went to fit the s.plate and it wouldnt fit because of the short thread the oil filter sits on Didnt think or realise i needed a thread extension, so had to order one from Merlin, should be here soon though

Guy was booked in to do the crease, £60 all in.
But asked him to have a look at the slight dent on the other rear whilst he was here, did that for £40.
So £100 (and a coffee) all in, which i didnt think was too bad, the work is exceptional and he was only here for about an hour at most.

Update.
Set s.plate up
Fitted
Finally got the head back in too feels like its come on miles from just this!!
Got the lower inlet manifold bolted in and couple other bits and bobs bolted in, fuel rail sorted out and downpipe placed in for now - will sort that tomorrow. Not long now Mum wants it running for tomorrow
* help *
I pulled this pipe to move it out the way and it came off in my hand
I know this much - it comes from one of the outlets on the header tank but where it went from there i dont know Any ideas?
Going to scrappies tomorrow so will just have a look there if no one has any ideas.
Thanks

Pipe goes onto the Throttle body if it came off the top of the header tank.
