More goodies...
Track Wheels - to be stripped and recoated. Likely in Orange to go back to my old Cesaro ways... They are Speedlines, 16", but not sure what model exactly.
And also should have a set of proper Morette Indicators waiting for me to return home, so will be able to get rid of the LEDs. Maybe.

Hell Yes.
Post VBOA Task though me thinks - ideally want them Tango'd and with decent rubber by TV Live. Probably won't happen as something will come up to scupper my plans like this trip to Indonesia has with getting the CF Bonnet repaired... Fucksticks.

Got back from my little 5 1/2 week jaunt to Indonesia on Friday night. Late.
Saturday morning I was up at 7.30 for some reason, and started to get stuff done.
Unwrapped the Morette Indicators that were posted to me while away, and also managed to sort a proper pair of sidelight holders, so can fit them;
Dropped the Carbon Bonnet off to be assessed for repair - may be a more involved job than I thought though, so not sure what will happen with that yet.
Today I did a 400 mile trip to sort out some stuff for the VxON Club prior to the VBOA Nat. Rally that we are attending this weekend, and on my way back, stopped to collect my parts that have been looked after by one of the fellow admin chaps during my trip...
F17 Gearbox wasn't as drained of as much oil as first thought though. Sooooo glad I have a Bootliner in there!
I was hoping to get the splitter painted and fitted by the end of Thursday, but I have a lot to do/catch up with, and just don't think it will happen. So, another thing to do for TVL instead.

Bonnet is undergoing repair, but not to show queen standards. Function over form and all...
And today, my pre-Billing faff is complete. All clean and just needing the packing finishing, then good to go.
Shame the Speedlines, Bonnet and Splitter couldn't be ready in time, but never mind. They can hopefully be done for TV Live

Read somewhere that they can make things a little better, so snapped them up at a bargain price...
And some pics from Billing;

Argh. Bonnet isn't ready yet. The guys had a race car chassis come in this week with some significant damage requiring repair, and the owner of it is paying them a considerably larger amount than I will be with a tighter deadline. Oh well. It has been started and I've seen it so, it is progressing. I've given them a deadline of a couple of days prior to TVL, so it should be done for then.
The Speedlines were dropped off for powdercoating today, so again, should be ready prior to TVL - the guys vaguely remembered a mates Tango'd parts for his Vectra, and are certain that an orange they are currently using has become available to them since they did his parts, so mine should be brighter/deeper/MORE orange...
Tyres will soon be ordered, not sure on what to get now, got a couple of options.
Nothing done with the splitter yet, need to speak to my uncle to see what he will quote to paint it first as it may be cheaper than a proper bodyshop.
Pricey month.
Really need to weigh up how much I spend on this thing and whether it is worth it anymore though. This month including the cost of the parts prior to the work on them etc is approaching silly figures for little gain. Really wondering if quitting with a project for a few months should happen, then return next year with something better.

Wouldn't have gone for a set of Conformity Speedlines anyway
Was looking for Compomotives of nearly any description and these came up at the right price instead...

Cheers. This thread doesn't seem as long as the one I have for it on my usual haunt, VxON, though. The one there is 56 pages and over 1100 replies!

Maybe I'll keep mine closed up again then...
I'll probably end up continuing to throw cash at it for a bit more - want to Polybush it, get a better fitting Exhaust system and fit a better Cage yet.
But, I'm looking at Monaros,and I've spend about 1/3rd the cost of one on this thing so far this year...

Newest update - Tyres sourced - was going to buy from an online suplier for a delivered price, then pay around £10 per rim for fitting etc.
Just popped into a local supplier, and the can do the full set, fitted etc, for just £4 more than the delivered price from the online supplier. So, as it saves me around £40, they have been ordered for me to have them fitted next thursday.
Going for the Yokohama Advan AD08s too - seen/had some good reviews of them, so bit the bullet and went for them - 205/45/16 sized;
Also had some Speedline Decals for the wheels arrive, but only realised after they were ordered that I need 5 not 4...
Will be checking on the Wheels & Bonnet on Friday morning.
Will have a crack at DIY Painting the Splitter over the weekend. Hopefully! Work commitments pending...

The Carbon Bonnet was ready for collection today - it's not 100% perfect, but the damage is all repaired which was the important thing - it needs to be machine polished to try to improve the bleached gelcoat on the original carbon etc. If that doesn't work, it may need rubbing down again then relaquering to get the bleached coating sorted. But, thats something to do at some point in the future.
Got on with fitting it straight away, and in less than an hour it was all done. Pretty happy with it TBH.
Steel Bonnet off;
Carbon on and bolted up;
My Cat decided to investigate - Pin Holes masked to allow drilling from the top for the bolts;
All sorted;
Couple of the blemishes;
Hoping to make a start on the Splitter this weekend.
The wheels will be done by Wednesday
Tyres are waiting at the suppliers for me.
MAY have it all done by next weekend!
