Not too fussed about the engine prob as thats something I can fiddle with just annoyed at having spent ages without a car and spending good money on it to achive nothing with the gearbox

Gearbox isnt 100% but thats not too much of an issue just have to be a bit careful banging it into 3rd
Main problem is the kind of misfire it gets at around 5000rpm
changed coil pack and leads
has new plugs
cleaned tb out along with map, airflow, throttle and air temp sensors
Still the same
Going to stick on a new fuel filter then im stumped
Pritty shit to drive as it doesnt pull for toffee past 5k due to this
Can here it in this video
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nHz2-mRDpSY
when I open it up after going round the corner you here it start stuttering

How much faster? I thought yours was only 140bhp? Although I guess with them weighing only a little more than a bag of sugar the power to weight is probably better
So is reliability the only thing that the CTR was better on? What about practicality and the beloved vtec ?
I've yet to race a vts in mine I can't imagine the CTR would pull away that much until 80 onwards... you may be pleased to know mine should be getting mapped end of next month...

Good shout on this, injectors on these engines are hellish for failing.

Works out at about 160bhp/tonne
not sure what the CTR's are
Only thing I miss is more interior space and im of the lanky variety and jap reliability
I raced an asian guy in mine and his facial expression was quite funny when he realised he wasnt going to get away

Funny you should say that
Last night I went searching for a map sensor in my shed of spares and came accross a complete inlet manifold with injectors, tb, sensors etc (basically the whole plastic lump with 16v printed on it)
Fitted that and left the battery off over night to clear the ECU. Drove it to work this morning and filled up with some posh petrol incase it was the dodgy sainsburys stuff that I had in it. Anyway seemed fine this morning. Will take it for a proper drive tonight and go from there. Fingers crossed
