maybe Babel £8m

If he coudl get in £14m to spend on a coupel fo decent new players it might help... that said, he is clearign out the shite he bought all at a loss and it does make a thin squad thinner but at least they are going

Voronin isnt a loss, he cost nothing.

And Babel will go for more than £8m (especially considering we turned down £9m!).

How much did he pay for voronin again, he's basically covered what he paid for dossena in selling voronin and got them both of the wage bill. I expect rodriguez to be sorted in the next day or so (we'll see lol) and maybe chamakh signed up for the summer (as discussed last week bob). I don't foresee babel leaving unless it's abroad.

Voronin came on a free so his fee + Dossenas cover them both. Add to that Degen is also due to leave this window, who also came on a free, and we should be up on the 3 players.

I still think Babel will go, not sure to who but Id rather a player swap if reports of Rafa getting none of the money to spend is true.

I know he was free, I was trying to make the point that the fee we were getting for voronin basically cancelled out how much we lost on dossena. I don't think degen will go now unless we get a decent offer from schalke (iirc they were interested) as benitez might need him as cover for johnson.

I would like to get shut of babel but agree with the fact it should only be on the basis that we replace him. If we get 3 or 4 off the wage bill and replace them with maxi and 1 other (depending on who we get rid of) then i'll be quite happy.

Im hoping this means Senderos is on his way out for a small fee and then a new defender be bought/promoted in the summer! hes still strong as an ox no doubt but slower than ever
