Not too sure yet, still need to try my boost gauge on a friends GSI to make sure its not the gauge, but it was giving the same figures before I put the new turbo on, think its just the gauge under-reading.

Oh, should note that the side mouldings have been sprayed, very happy with the finish. Going to get the front bumper done too, after winter though as its kind of pointless doing it now, gritters will wreck it!
Also ordered the tx autosport hophat kit again, as I need it to replace the twat of a boost pipe that's about 15mm smaller than the rest.

Update time, been a while.
So it looked like this for a while:
Sent the side mouldings off to Spraytech in Halkirk (01847831478), excellent job, and very cheap!
That was last week, this week fitted the tx autosport tophat kit, some size difference over standard, noticed a bit of difference in the lower rev range with it
Before:
After:
You can tell the difference in pipe diameter from the pics
Exterior is pretty much complete now, few bits im going to tidy up after the winter takes its toll, but next up is the remap
Going to go to either Hypertech or Sitech. Phoned both £400+vat for sitech, waiting on a phonecall from Duncan at Hypertech for a price. Hopefully get it done late October in time for the MOT.
Nice parting photo:

Remove/bypass the rear bcs first.
Wouldn't advise doing it after, not sure how it would react on an already mapped car.
There's how to's on AOC, I noticed a sizeable difference from just bypassing the BCS

What benefit is there to bypassing the bcs anyways?

Found that the o/s wheel bearing is on the way out, ordered one from autovaux so its fixed for the MOT.

Thought I better update this!
Car was mapped and RR'd at hypertech, made 245bhp and 250ft/lb torque, VXR figures, happy with that for now. Still running low boost though, 14psi overboost holding 10psi, its capable of much more
Had a slight issue with a misfire, new, properly gapped plugs sorted it though.
Graph:
Hypertech:
The dyno room:
Car on the dyno:
Quick 0-100 video, terrible one at that
Filmed on a private road
MOT is next, still waiting on the wheel bearing, phoned autovaux and it turns out the courier lost it . So a new one was dispatched tonight, hopefully have it Friday.
No plans over the winter, just keep it clean and tidy, then once the gritters are gone im getting the bonnet and front bumper resprayed, plus any other unsightly bits that may appear with the winter weather.

Yup, made some difference. Think im going to have to up the boost to stage 3 level, might use KWP, save the custom map I have on there and try a generic map, see if it makes any difference.

prepare for the jerkiest map of your life lol My stage one was ok when full throttle but half and quarter peddle was horrendous. Still though, for what you pay you cant argue.
