Ha! What I meant is, does the 1.8 return better MPG in a lighter body ie Corsa, than it would in the Vectra? What performance mods are there for this engine?

take no notice of that tool lol
and its like any engine its the way you drive it see geordie_corsa drives a 1.6 1.6v he gets about 100 mpg to ten pounds because he drives like a fagot
on a more serious note its ok you don't really need to rev it to get it going because of a f13 gearbox
there are some good mods for this engine with it being a small block engine majority of parts off a 1.4 16v 1.6 16v
manifolds such as exhaust and inlet mods you can get are not for a x18xe1 but you can get z18xe modifications which are basically the same engine apart from different oil filter different crank shaft sensor and drive by wire instead of throttle cable
on mpg say 10 pounds gets me 60 or 70 miles but that's with petrol prices on the up probs 30 35 mpg

On a good note all back wheel bearings, shoes, drums and cylinders have been replaced
Also put a new brake compensater on brakes feel perfect.
