Alright game, quality goal from Giggs. Newcastle had some decent chances early on but it was all over the minute Man U went 1 up.

Yeah best player by far, dont know how he keeps doing it but I'm not complaining. Just needs a goal for Rooney and it'll all come back to him. At one point everyone seemed desperate to try and pick him out so he could score Thought Berbatov played pretty well TBH.

Anyone notice how many times Hernandez ended up on his arse? Must not be used to playing on watered pitches

Scholes was fucking awesome tonight

Hernandez needs to get some proper boots, cant believe beratov took that ball from right off his foot with a fancy flick

Berbatov was good tonight, could have had 3 or 4

Good result

Lets be honest, its no shock result. It was a guaranteed 3 points for you.

As for expecting more from us? Yes, we won the championship convincingly, but our team was/is too good for that league but not good enough for the PL.

We made some sloppy mistakes which should be ironed out once getting used to PL pace again.

Oh I know you aren't saying we were going to win. I think that league has made us look better than what we actually are.

The main thing to take from the game was we created some good chances and there are quite a few players out injured. Villa at home on Sunday. Hopefully play better for longer periods instead of inviting the inevitable old Trafford pressure and biased ref decisions. It's good to be back.
