A ball ache is the exact opposite of an Apple product.
There is no fucking about changing file formats or trying to find a converter that wont destroy the audio track or disrupt lip sync.
Its called itunes, it might not be free but its honest, contributes to the economy rather than pirating and also if they say it works it fucking well will with a minimum of hassle.

I get angry when people try to justify how a sub performing product actually isnt, just because its made by apple

IMO, apple make products for snobs, snobs who dont care about what it can and cant do, and refuse to listen, its a classic example of i want it so it must be the best.

Why do the likes of the Gadget Show and T3 like them then?

I can't understand why people care so much about how well Apple do at selling stuff. Stuff that clearly is adequate enough for what the majority need. More important things in life to worry about tbh.

Incorrect! Outside of Apple's 'Cloud', it is a ball ache....

No iTunes won't convert a MKV/Divx/Xvid file, you have to convert the file to a supported format/container (Mov/Mpeg 4) before adding it to iTunes and punting it to devices like iPads/iPhones/Apple TV.
Far too many rose-tinted spec wearers spouting misinformation

I actually agree with Steve on the apple front.
However, when my upgrade is due, in october, I too will be leaving my n97 mini behind and either going iPhone or a competitive Android product.
The app store is the main selling point for me, regardless of what the phone can or cannot do from the box, you can get an app for anything you want, and when you jailbreak it, can get them all for free anyway.
Cost will probably be my main choice between Apple or Android though.
edit : iTunes is a horrible horrible program though, winamp is far easier to use to transferring songs, and doesn't stop your computer either
