It was a heat of the moment challenge and he attempted to make an apology. Footballers should expect injuries and accept them as part and parcel of the career they chose.

Plus this, was always going to be a more fiery affair. If he was wearing proper shin pads he would be fine

I wonder how much Hernandez is worth based on his season so far? Taking into consideration Andy Carroll is worth £35m after just 11 goals in 22 top flight appearances.

Hernandez has scored on average every 100 minutes this season

I think Hernandez is a brilliant goal scorer, has he scored any from outside the area though?

Not baiting, just intrigued, all i can remember have been 6 yds or so

Using the Man Utd fan rating that makes him shit because Kuyt scored a hattrick of goals like that against them and they were all shit

his movement is great, and with the players you got supplying him, all he needs to do is find a bit of space and they'll find him.

Was he 12m?

Think so. Bit of a bargain Like you say he is always going to get opportunities to score with the players we have...

Reports from when we signed him last year i saw the price quoted as £7m for him widely reported.

also he is much more than just a poacher, he's like a young Michael Owen but much better, not short, not a scouser, not a walking sicknote & has good link up play when he comes deep

Have to hope its not a one off season and he can keep performing like this. No reason he couldn't be the leagues top scorer if he was in the starting 11 from the start of next season and kept scoring as freely as he is now

not short Owen was a very good player in his youth, think it's a bit early to compare

next season will be the test now that people hve had a good look at him.

TBH MWG he seems quite consistent so i don't think it is a one off, also he is performing at intenational level having scored 12 goals in 21 games for Mexico too which is impressive in itself.

Berbatov must be wondering what he has to do to get a game at United now, top scorer in the league an still be left on the bench for the last 2 games

Apparently Real Madrid have reached the quarter finals for 1st time in 7 years, quite remarkable for such a big club.

Cristiano Ronaldo said last night that he hopes Real Madrid draw United on friday, don't know why he is so eager to play us but if we do draw them i hope we dump them out of the competition, I get some satisfaction seeing him achieve sod all at the club he made it so blatantly apparent that he wanted to join for so long considering the levels of success he enjoyed with us.
