*** UPDATE 27/3/12 ***


Just a small update seen as its light when i get home from work it gives me more time to do abit

more work on things to get it ready so just did a bit more painting for today

Started with priming the dizzy cap



Then sprayed it Polar Sea Blue like the car



Lacquered a few mounts



Lacquered the gearbox

Yeah, Just another layer of lacquer on the gearbox a few coats of paint on the dizzy cap that's ready for lacquer now and started to de rust my battery tray that will be in primer today then ready for paint tommorow just doing as much as I can now it's my main priority

*** UPDATE 1/4/12 ***

Well been doing a bit more lately through the week and that heres how ive been getting on

Start with the battery tray which was really rusty so cleaned n primed



Got it in Polar Blue



Got these shafts off Fazza thanks again mate







Dirty bay



Cleaner bay











Gutted ive found this !! cross members rotted to fook !!











Made a start on the inlet











Got it in primer

















Thats it for now but just ordered the strenghening plates which its in much need off

that will be getting done in a few weeks

grind it back and get it welded up then put the plates in and get it protected, should be better then

Small update

My strengthening plates have arrived today but i have no idea how they go can someone point me in

the right direction with them please ? they should be getting welded on next weekend if all goes well

great work cleaning the bay up like that mate, nice and shiny haha

shame about the rot on the x-member but if your putting the plates in anyway it may be worth cutting a bit out and getting some steel welded in there for piece of mind

Cheers pal taken me 2 hours to clean dont think its been done in its life

well im gonna leave that to my mate he's handy like that

coming on mate don't worry about the rust cut out as much as yo can an weld fresh metal in will be fine as for the plates I have a diagram some where for them I'll have a look later and see if I can find it 2 of them go on the crossmember where yours has rusted
