hi chaps
I have just swapped from using a wide rib belt to a v belt setup
the V belt early alternator didnt come with a bracket to mount it to the engine and it doesnt look to be the same as the wide belt alternator
does anyone have a picture of the mounting bracket? can I use another one from a different vaux?
HELP

I have got a c20let using an f20 gearbox
with the shafts in all the way, when I spin the wheels the gearbox makes a clicking clunky sort of noise. sort of noise u get when its not fully in gear, perhaps as if the cv joints arent in fully(they are and have been smacked loads with a hammer)
is there anything that it could be or that I could try?
or is it likely that the gearbox is fucked?

Well today after work I set about removing the last of the bolts, starter motor and also had to undo the front tiebar bracket. I then whacked a jack under it and set about lowering it down on the box side and whipping off the box
Lack of pictures as I was doing it on my own! what a cunt it was to but anyways, I now have an empty space in my engine bay and tomorrow I can begin to fit the new box(if i can get someone to give me a hand.
Woo empty space...
Fooked gearbox! might strip it and figure out exactly what was wrong, I have a feeling its something to do with the input shaft.
