I was always of similar opinion, but they did work well on that Fiat 500. At least if I go with the chrome powder coating, they'll match my cage.

Get them chrome painted then, better finish than polishing and cheaper!
Yer a couple of people have mentioned doing Powder Coated chrome, just not sure how good it will look thats all.
It's pretty much the same effect of polishing mate it's just a lot clearer as it's very hard to refine polished wheels!

Totally didnt twig until speaking to one of lads today, I've got plastic centre caps so would have to buy a set of metal ones to do the powder coating, which is more cost.
I have emailed a few companies around my area for prices though as I am liking the idea of the chrome powder coating.

Yer they've come out well, but there multi-spoke. All the companies I've spoke to have advised me that as the 928 are very flat faced wheels with large surface area it won't look as good.

Ahhh does it have to be powdercoated? Surely you could have them painted chrome? I've got metal centre caps

Chrome painted is supposedly even worse finish and not as hard wearing.
Been doing some more research, this was the original idea for all this, until Gav suggested the Porsche wheels - which of course I am very greatful for
I managed to find a Corsa C with a similar colour/wheel format to get an idea
This is my mates car with his Chome powder coated D90's
..and these are all polished
I'm still none the wiser what to do. I can't afford the polishing, I can afford the chrome powder coating but I'll need to purchase metal centre caps.
Having the 928's painted, is still the easist/cheapest option. So if people don't like the blue, what other colour?
I did think at one point going the purple that my mrs has on her wheels

Get the wheels powdercoated chrome, save up for some metal centre caps or just get the caps painted chrome? Think a colour looks out of place on most porsche wheels, especially such flat faced ones!

Luckily I have a friend with a spare set of metal caps, just hoping they fit.
Am waiting for prices for the chrome coat, but its looking like that will be the direction I go.
Hoping to get the sport out the garage today, so will get a picture of the 928 wheels up against the car

In all honesty I liked the speedlines but they are on every corsa (I'm guilty ) I do like the 928"s but the colour isn't quite there maybe anthracite ? Polished is a bit "I'm a rich footballer oooohh shiny!"
As said though it is your car so only you can decide what you like !
Fine example though

Thanks mate lol.
I think the way its looking, I'm going to go for the chrome powder coat, purely because the wheels will then at least match the cage and they'll be no lary colours but still something unique with the wheels

928 wheels are too square and sharp for the lines of your corsa.
Polished Alessios would look great!

I suggested that yesterday to a few of my mates, but their opinion of the idea was that it would be a waste of the 928's to then paint them a stock colour like the hyper silver and not do something special with them.

Hyper silver like mine has a really good shine to it, might look better on the 928s if the chrome will show imperfections with it being such a flat surface
