Rick Draper is going to come in here shortly and tear this place up from his sky broadband connection in LA

Internet packets, routers and fake tan flying everywhere

We've just taken their best player, their captain, the top scorer in the league, the PFA players player of the year, the PFA fans player of the year, the FWA footballer of the year and the player our noisey neighbours would have loved to buy. Who wouldn't be happy with that...?

That's like saying you wouldn't welcome Beckham back. Course you would. Fantastic player.

bet you wouldnt

I would mate.

If you had signed Rooney this window you would be laughing like fuck at United fans and loving the fact you had just pinched one of the best players in Europe from a rival.

Nope. I could never accept Rooney etc as an Arsenal player. I never accepted Gallas for example.

My goodness.

Point I was trying to make is that with some players theres just too much history??

I couldn't accept Rooney as an Arsenal player for example (not that it will ever happen). He's been at united too long and had too much of an effect against Arsenal. It doesn't matter how good the guy is. I just couldn't accept him as an Arsenal player. Same with Gallas. He was a top quality defender when we got him but I couldn't ever fully accept him after he'd been at Chelski so long.

Maybe its just a personal thing? Becks for instance I could accept anyday as I love the guy lol.

This is why I was suprised to see so many RVP shirts. Would have thought alot of utd fans would be a bit unsure about it this early. Infact alot of Utd fans I know are finding it strange seeing RVP at United and unsure if it was a sensible bit of business by Fergie.

Would you cheer if Rooney scored a goal in an Arsenal shirt?

Rooney was a bit of a dick and I didn't think he could continue playing for us. He maintained his commitment on the pitch and I soon forgot about it all!

van Persie I have no problem with us signing, guy isn't a loud mouth/cocky and is a proven quality player. Bit prone to injury which is the worrying part, but we all know Fergie loves a good sick note player!

Certain players a la Suarez as said would be a complete no no.

Still surprised he signed to be honest as top 4 generally don't trade.
