Only time I ever go landscape is watching videos, but even then with the new youtube interface I usually stay portrait as you can carry on scrolling whilst watching.

First time I've paid attention to any of the new iOS interface. at the dots for the signal strength.
Anything else like that in it? That looks exactly like people have complained so they've just changed random bits.
Signal dots are a bit weird, apple considered them for the very first iOS design as some of the prototype mockups have the same design. Lots of little changes like that.

Am I right in thinking you can't just turn the battery percentage on as standard?

Evidently not, but you have a flashing notification LED
There's also loads of battery widgets that will take all of 10 seconds to sort it

Ash, just noticed you've cheated with the CS screenshot on the previous page.
Would it not be more fair to show the actual un-zoomed picture of how iOS renders CS?

Don't tell me Ash is playing with results to make iOS look more favourable

That sir, is slander!
(Or possibly libelous)

Look at the second menu line that starts with "Calendar". iOS makes (and always has made) a formatting error where it uses default font in stead of the CSS specified.
For some reason, it also scales the second menu line wider than the rest of the page.
In Ash's shot "U2U Messenger" is cut, because he's zoomed in to the main container's width.
Very strange error really, and definitely something that could be fixed quite easily if the webpage owner was so inclined.

That's exactly how my iphone renders it at normal zoom

I've never seen iOS crop the width of a page on load!?
Certainly not how mine renders it.

Very strange behavior. Can you even access the "Buddies" link in the top menu?
Found this screen from a previous thread:
That's how it ordinarily loads. Whittie's screen dumps have been taken down, unfortunately, but from the comments his 5 did the same.
Must be an iOS 7 thing...

It's a resized image, not 1:1.
Like I said, it switches to default font on the lower menu bar, which is a coding issue, not a browser issue. CS is the only page I've seen this on, yet only in Safari on iOS...

have you actually watched the video? It has a holder for when earphones are plugged in, and then the button for the mic acts as the button instead

Nah, watching dexter so just skimmed through the pictures and write up. Have only got 5 quid headphones, so no button anyway though, also, I'm never in such a rush I need to turn on the flashlight in a millisecond.
Will be quite useful to some people though I'm sure

No it doesn't. The software just uses the play button on your headphones instead of that button.

"The button for the mic, acts as the button instead"
"No it doesn't, the software uses the button on your headphones"
So yes, it uses the button.... regardless of software, the question was it stops you using earphones.
