The exhaust is way higher than the cock nose style front end.

Just read there that GP2 cars will be more powerful than this year's F1 cars without the ERS system, what the actual fuck.
GP2=612bhp V8
F1=600bhp V6 + 180bhp ERS

Seems like they've done something similar.
I defy anyone not to have a chuckle when they look at the Toro Rosso

The front of the merc looks very interesting. They have gone against the penis nose and it looks like their front wing is huge. They also have some aero bits further up.
Sounds like redbull have a few interesting bits on their nose too, only revealed the car for 3 minutes before the covers went on.

Red Bull seems to be the most 'normal' looking so far

Merc looks ace
Hearing RB won't be doing much running today. Lewis was out bang on 9am. Important to get some serious miles done.

It's essentially a cross between the Ferrari nose and McLaren's and just as 'beautiful' tbh - http://i.imgur.com/7CnHuOo.png

Definitely, certainly looks best of the bunch and it appears they've also kept the 'S' duct as well. Although there's reports Newey has already been complaining about the new rules today and how it affects aesthetics
It does make you wonder if the other teams have got it right though

Hamilton has stacked it - http://i.imgur.com/ag3orvx.jpg, http://i.imgur.com/OSQjVuG.jpg.
Apparently it was the failure of the front wing and damage doesn't look too bad; hopefully they get it sorted and get it running again this afternoon.

Another 'cock' nose from FI VJM07; you can see why they only leaked a side-on pic - http://i.imgur.com/iDePvRB.jpg.

The powers that be really haven't thought this through when considering the rule changes have they
The stepped noses where bad enough but this bunch are absolutely horrendous, there's not a decent looking car amongst them.

Sounds like the nose came off Hamilton before the crash i.e. it may well have caused it. Its been stated as car failure.
Better for it to happen now. You can have all the simulations in the world but nothing beats the real test (where someone doesn't do up a screw right)

But ERS is always available, so a moot point really.
It's like saying the car is only 300bhp without the turbo charger or something like that.
Merc car looks(looked ) well sexy, hope it goes anywhere near as well as it looks.

All that new tech engine wise and the bastarding front wing fails
Ah well, same as last year and that didn't go too bad

Also talk that ERS may have also contributed to the crash. Either way it isn't good for testing but at least they have a few laps under their belt unlike others.

Can't watch testing as im working but according to twitter the Merc was going well reliability wise. Shame something like that has put an end to it.
Find it interesting how small the sidepods are on the Merc compared to the huge ones on the Mclaren, given they use the same engine.

So is that lewis done testing today? Doesn't look massively bad, unless they don't have spares.

Probably a lot of suspension damage.
Mclaren not running at all now? Button press conference cancelled too.

Mercedes WTF, they go to testing with no spare front?! Didn't Lewis or Nico smash out exactly the same stage last year?
Lewis royally smashed up that Merc as well but at least the front looks more appealing.
Ted's notebook on at around 9 tonight.
