This. It's easy to say fix it when you're on the other side of a keyboard not handing out well into four figures every time you try and turn the key.

I do agree to with part of it as its very disheartening BUT then on the other side the Vauxhall market is one of the cheapest high powered market there is, which is the reason why there isent as many big companys which race, develop for them.

All this aside, i really hope you fix the car ben, would be a real shame to give up but you know yourself once this has been fixed whats going to happen with the GTX on and even more power?
I really do hope you keep chasing the power but its easy for us all to say when we are not paying for it.
Anything i can help with mate, you know where i am

Which is around 330lb and bens around 480lb
I would be looking at superlight weight flywheels 7.25" and a twin plate super clutch especially if your going to push more with the GTX.

What clutch are you running Nic?
On saying the above I know ChrisS ran a cheap an nasty 8 paddle on his corsa for years.

Gutted for you pal,you just dont seem to be getting an easy time with it! Although its easy for everyone to say fix it its also easy for everyone to say brake it and that scenario is also going to loose you thousands of pounds as you will recoup alot of your money you have put into it but obviously not it all

speent a few hours down at the dyno today watching georges corsa c brake the 600bhp mark, mad me think fuck it lets keep going ,think im going to have to use a twin plate clutch from now on as the helix one just wasent enough , was speaking to alan duffy and he runs a helix twin plate clutch and 7 1/2 inch flywheel in his and it was just bolt in job no mods needed, he bought it from regal so going to have to ring them tomorow, eapecialy with running slicks too soon,

dicieded to brake the new box apart and fit the quaife in it

its going to a gearbox place tomorow to make sure the syncros are ok but i thought id fit the quaife otherwise they would of added £70ish to the bill, hopefully get it back towards the end of the week then hopefully i can sort a clutch this week

also gave the box a bit of a clean up ready to paint when i get it back

Atta boy Ben! Good man for not fucking it in & going to an Evo or something.

You really should look into getting the engine & other bits cryogenically frozen so it doesn't keep breaking. I heard about a guy who had it done over in the states to a drag bike he had, cost him $750 to have the whole thing done, box included. He runs something like 650bhp on it (it's turbocharged).

Just getting the box cryo'd aint a bad idea tbh if you have the time to get it done.

There is a guy on MLR who is shit hot with getting boxes frozen then building them up to very good tolerences. He's an air craft engineer of some sort so is very perticular in stuff like that.
