Cheers mate, good to know!
I managed to find a drivers side facelift rear light also so that'll be the next project (need facelift rear bumper) after the roof and headlight halo's.

Roof finally booked in for 20/10/15. Took ages to arrange a date as I work shifts and they're booked up for a while. Can't wait!
Took a pic of the rear lights also. I had these a couple of years ago but sold them on as I wasn't doing anything with them. Turns out it was a mistake as I rather like them, so they're back and I ended up paying more for them
Just went out and test fitted them. First thoughts are, bugger, they don't light up there is a hot to guide online which shows some re-wiring is needed (aswell as the facelift rear bumper) so that should be fun
In the meantime, enjoy a photo of them half hanging out

I thought they worked but you end up needing to code them so you don't get the T bar effect?
I'm tempted to get a facelift rear bumper but leave my lights. I like the circle taillight when it's lit up. Find the straight light on the facelift a bit boring

I think you need to remove the terminal wires and put them in different places. No point doing that at the moment as I don't have a facelift rear bumper, so the lights don't currently fit.

Well they can fit. Just the bumper outline is the wrong shape.

You can't fit them in place with the pre-facepift bumper on. You also need to cut off a mounting point which the old rear lights use. So yeah, not a job I can do if I want to actually use the car for work

New windscreen went in today, lovely!
And then....
Dropped my mate off after work, pulled away and after about 100 yards I started noticing a loud banging noise. It got worse after a few minutes so diverted to my dads and had a look round the back of tje car. Turns out the 2nd exhaust hanger has now snapped the 1st one snapped ages ago but I never fixed it, so o guess the other one has been put under too much stress and the pipes just before the backbox were bouncing off an underbody brace.
Bodged it up for now using some copper wire wrapped around the brackets. Need to either get the welded or get a new backbox.

tbh I should've known 1 exhaust hanger wouldn't last forever.
Loads of Z4 owners appear to have the same problem. I think Gav had one snap also. The steel pegs that sit on the rubber mounts are way too thin and are hollow, so theres no real strength to them.
Probably won't cost too much to weld really.

My hangars are actually in really good condition. I was really surprised actually
Less restrictive backbox time?

Cheers can't wait to get them on.
Gav, i've thought about a new backbox, but tbh it doesn't really need one. I don't want something loud, but would like a smaller backbox and some more pops. I don't want to pay mega money though as I may end up not liking the noise.

Got the exhaust fixed today. Went to a place recommended by Generation
Just got new hangers welded on for now. Will probably go for a new backbox at some point. This was just a quick fix to get it driveable again £50. Not bad at all
Obligatory garage pic:

£50 is quite pricey tbh.
They do wing prices a lot, had some really custom stuff made for last car and prices so cheap. Maybe it's because I've been there quite few times

I thought it was reasonable tbh. Would've cost a lot more for a new backbox. It was £45 so I said keep the fiver. Either way I needed it done (2 hangers made up and welded on) as I didn't trust the copper wire bodge at speed

One of my exhaust tip covers has been loose for a while as the holding screw fell out somewhere. The chrome is also peeling off the edges, so they look pretty rubbish.
Got some tips from a guy on Z4 forum who makes them up (same as Gavs) as it was a lot cheaper than buying 2 new ones from BMW.
I think they look ok and they won't peel as they're stainless steel, which is good
Under the tips. Awful.
Before and after. Apologies for the filter. Without it, the image was quite over exposed.
