tried to see if i could better a 9th place out of about 2200 people today on a climb, was 0.1 second slower today and that was with a multi speed bike. weather became a bit shocking and the descents got really dodgy, nearly came off a few times pushing it too fast.

probably gonna have a day off the outdoors bike and just go to the gym tomorrow. stupid heavy rain and strong winds.

Found this on my rear tyre earlier

Was after riding through Warwick where I had to grind to a halt three times because of fuckwits opening their car doors in front of my path, cutting in front of me a stopping (in a cycle lane may I add) and diving out in front of me on a roundabout.

Found out theres a 2 mile trail round one of the parks very close to me and on my way to work so rode the MTB in this morning to have a little plod around. Was pretty decent though I nearly fell off a few times on sloppy routes. My Garmin didn't do a great job of tracking me round it either looks like it dropped signal twice.

Doing a MTB duathlon on Sunday. 2 mile run 10 mile MTB and another 2 mile run. Told the bike course is easy mainly on gravel paths and bridleways. My aim is to not come last.

Very, very impressed. Full carbon and running Ultegra, which is like treading air. It's very quick too, seems effortless to get decent speeds and I'm seriously out of shape at the moment, too.
I had a Giant Defy 2 before it which was a brilliant bike, couldn't recommend them highly enough to be honest. Anyhow not done much on the Wilier since buying it new a couple of weeks back, but come the nicer weather I'll try and do some decent ride outs on it.
I actually wanted a Bianchi originally, but saw this and fell in love.

Snapped a bloody spoke tonight. No idea how or where or when, my mate noticed it when he passed me the wheel out of his van when we got back! Might not be trying to do a road gap this weekend now!

So I rode the Bronson to the pub, had 10 pint of Grolsch and then rode home. The Enve's were faultless! Draggy on the way up the ascent but the decent was entertaining, actually maybe that was just the beer that made it entertaining!?!
