I don't finance any cars. I don't care if people do, what's the issue?

Not sure people are slagging you off because of that but by you saying that sounds like you feel you're better than people who have their cars on finance.

Replaced front wing. Took off current wig as didn't ever sit right and was bent and scratched. Only to find mangled brackets underneath and ANOTHER wing bolted on still in places (obviously only tiny bits of it) fkin bodies. Cars a state, but great job on wing

It's big, you're right there. Was in the car when I got
It, but suits it imo and doesn't affect my view

I kind of like it actually.

Today I finally got my car out of the garage after sitting there for months collecting dust. Not sure why I didn't take a picture after I spent all morning cleaning it though

Looking forward to the 1st and hopefully going to start getting back into meets and events this year.

I'm seeing more and more Monaro's of this era on the road, I wonder where all of the owners have been hiding them?..

Probably off the road fixing the incredibly expensive parts

There's only around 350 vxrs made so is surprising how many you see. To be fair though apart from meets I've only seen 3 I think in the last few years.

Won some wheels on eBay for the gt86. Bit scruffy but came with tyres and were cheap.
Wanted to see how it drove on 18's so did the job. Had some spare time today so started to tidy them up. Looking better even after sanding back and the first light colour coat.

Hopefully will look respectable after a couple more coats and some lacquer

Yeah... agree with this and all that said the colour is lovely! Quite the wheel arch for a sporty model too.

What seats has it got? Seen some proper lush ones but don't know if they're an option or standard.

Normal seats but full leather heated, just as they come standard, haven't taken a pic yet. Assume the ones you have seen will be the £1,700 optional extra wingbacks they are very nice though.

They are the same wheels as Golf R wheels, but these are 19" instead of 18's on the Golf

Ah yeah they are the optional extra 19s for the Golf. I agree they are nicer on the Golf, not seen them on the Scirocco yet.

Been working on the mr2 lately trying to sort out all the shit bits. Have a big tub of rust remover filled with nuts and brackets, the rear strut braces are sitting on the kitchen table (Mrs is happy) waiting to be wire brushed where needed and sprayed etc etc etc.

Managed to replace the lower universal joint today, old one was pretty much locked up and would barely move.

While I was doing that, she was underneath wire brushing anything that even hinted at rust that coated with fertan ready to paint. One good thing is the rear subframe looks immaculate which seems to be rare for its age.

One thing that is pissing me off with this car is everything is so fucking expensive, cheap coilovers are 800+ and good are 1500+, hardtops with fitting kits are 700+.
