its amazing what you can do to an engine and it will still run
was it 5th gear they took the sump bung out, and the car lasted 30minutes around a track before it siezed completely
crazy in engeering sense!

in new amazing news, vectra broke on way home. aux belt snapped, i think due to the tensioner seizing. it opperates the water pump which made a short 7 mile journey into a very long one.
nearly 2 years ive had vectra and this is first fault with it. will be a cunt to sort aswell as aux belt is extremely long and goes around and through the engine mount i think by looking at it.
twat of a day ive had today.

ordered bits for vectra. Think it was just over 60 for aux belt tensioner and aux belt. Problem is all my tools are at my mates still and i have no way of getting there. Ah well. All the parts yet nothing to fit the parts.

this is the first thing apart from a cracked rear bank exhaust manifold to go wrong on my vectra in 22 months since i owned it. hopefully it doesnt start breaking more things from now on.
due to tools not being at my house, im not sure when it will get fitted. ive asked a mate if he is busy later can lend some tools. see what happens.

rubbish update time.......
front parts welded in
welded to a pillar part of cage
started to make the plates to cover the holes where the pipes go in. basically, all the cage is now welded nto the car. all thats left to do is make the plates for the holes and then can start on fuel system.
getting there indeed.
