you paid 700 for that its a 2003 frame by the looks of it much better bargains out there than what you've bought especially on mtb trader on fb or pinkbike so I hope the parts are worth 700

Went out with the faster club run group today ..... 60 miles with 2.400 ft of climbing, much of which was into a brutal headwind. White Horse Hill with a head wind is a complete bastard! There was one down hill section where I have hit 40 mph plus before and today with the wind I was struggling to hit 20mph. These kind of rides are a big step up in effort for me so glad to just make it all the way around...didnt get dropped too many times either lol ..... 46mph down chain hill was good fun!
http://www.strava.com/activities/92937037
Todays ride also takes me over 2500 miles since March ..... which is about 2000 miles more than I have ever done in a year before !

Is it possible to get a quiet exercise bike or turbo trainer setup?
Live in a flat so couldn't look at anything too loud.

Edale and the surrounding area are good, more peak district though.

Winter hill and rivington in Bolton isn't too bad. It's not challenging or long but okay for a ride out, you can see it from Barton bridge on m60 where the mast is.

I bought some monster Ts a few months ago, they are huge
Can't see what the spec is big nothing wrong spending £700 on an old bike. My bikes which are mostly old parts are worth a couple of grand, much better than a new bike IMO.
Can't suggest anywhere to ride that thing though as everywhere around here requires riding up a hill

Probably best converting it to single speed if there are hills involved as that's what nick cole says.

I used to go up to rivington on my motorbike, so can try that on the pedal bike.
Also the spec is very good, the forks are abit over the top tho, not nice for riding up hill at all.
