I think they are holding out for £40m but probs will take €40m/£35m. Tricky tho cos people are talking about silly fees such as €50m for Pastore, €100m for Hamsik, €35m for Sanchez etc. and none of them are as good as Cesc (albeit all are different players, diff positions etc but still) so we've every right to hold out for a silly fee

With Cesc he only wants to go to Barca and it seems Barca are the only ones that want him? It's not like Arsenal can get a bidding war going. With Sanchez he has a few clubs after him (barca, chelsea, city) so they can up his price but I don't know what sort of contract he's under at Udinese.
Arsenal can hold out as much as they want but why has his value gone up/stayed the same as last year when he has 1 year less?

I'm getting increasingly frustrated now.
My hopes are that arsenal are doing deals behind closed doors and decent, key signings will be announced before the season starts, ideally ASAP.
But tbh I think its wishful thinking.
I mean the most obvious signing surelly was Shay Given? But no he's gone to Villa!
Rumours that maybe he didnt want tp move to London, but come on...playing for Arse and CL footy or Villa? I'm certain we could have got him.
Next few weeks are make or break for Arsene.
