Sorry, was actually just curious which ones you'd seen as I've only seen the Tim Burton remake and found it pretty pants.

And you sound like my wife by the way...

Eden Lake 8/10

Watched this again last night with the Girlfriend. She said it was scary and disturbing as the premise was quite realistic and could easily happen. I think this adds to the dark tone of the film and not all stories have a happy ending which gets tiresome in Hollywood films TBH.

I might have rated this earlier in the thread but cant remember.

Just watched it. Good film, but the twists were all relatively predictable.

Insomnia - 6/10

The one Nolan film I always felt 'meh' about. Realised it was nearly ten years since I'd seen it, so decided to have another go.
Still 'meh'...

The thing I really liked about Eden Lake is that everything that happens actually could happen, its very beleiveable and not OTT.

Total Recall remake: 2/10 absolute shite, boring, nothing like the original apart from the names of people and the 3 titted woman. I fucking HATE remakes

Enemy of the State - 8.5/10
Law Abiding Citizen - 8.5/10

I'd already seen them both but watched them again yesterday. A couple of classics IMO.

The Third Man 8.5/10 (1949)

Brilliant score, great performances and shot beautifully.

Only gripe was the character development of the bad guy (Wont spoil it for people who havent seen it)

Safe - 6.5/10 - Typical Statham no-thinking-required action film; decent watch for what it is. Storyline is a bit far fetched though

Thor - 6/10

Such a shallow film. Seems hasted and special effects already look dated.
Couple of highlights keeps it watchable.

snow white and the huntsman - 4/10

Probably not a bad story, but poor acting, little action and felt like it dragged.

The Avengers - 10/10

Still perfect. So well balanced and executed.
Probably one of, if not THE best looking films I've seen on BD.
Interestingly it appears to run at a higher frame rate than standard film, but I've not looked it up.
