Cars fairly comming along! (minus the shaft issue, but as said its not the end of the world. A count of the splines on the shafts and the inner cv's will clarify what u need)

How did ash get on with the wiring? Im doing mine (12xe to 16xe)

Ive cut the top plug (with orange seal) off and pulled the individual wires through.
I fitted the engine, then realised there was another plug on the car loom (rectangular with the blue seal)

Im presuming this is also ecu feeds?
Ive sent him a u2u the other day asking this, As i wasnt sure if these were comming from, or going to the ecu.

ps, keep at it, the satisfaction of finnishing it is brilliant! (aswell as the fact you know every part of the car, unlike buying one and knowing nothing about it)

Cheers for the positive comments mate, feel alot better now knowing what i need to do to fix it. Will be purchasing some new shafts very soon.

As with the wiring,i haven't a bloody clue fella,Ash is the man for all that. If you've u2u'd him i'm sure he'll get back to you. He doesn't come on here much but i'll tell him.

He's coming down tomoz to finish it all and i'll get plenty of pics showing you what and where bits are going.

this is the guide i followed to wire mine up

Wiring colours are as follows:

XE loom

Green - revcounter feed, wire to green on corsa plug (some corsas may not have this wire, in which case use a bullet connector and run a green wire to the rear of the clocks if you wish to fit a set with a revcounter.

Brown/Blue - ECU light, match to corsa plug

Brown/White - Diagnostics, match to corsa plug

Brown/Yellow - Diagnostics, match to corsa plug

Blue/red (thick) - Fuel pump feed, match to corsa plug

Blue - Coolant temp sensor feed for dash clocks, match to plug

Red/White - Autobox, unused in conversion

Red/Blue (thin) - electronic speedo feed, match to corsa plug

Red (large) - Battery +ve

Black (thin) - Battery ?ve I moved this inside and matched it to the corsa plug
Black/green - Aircon, unused in conversion

Fuel relay block remains as is.

Nice one dan!

kyle- the engine loom side is not a problem, know the colours off by heart, its just the layout/design of the 1.2 16v loom that differs.
Ill have a look this afternoon and figure it out (i just wasnt in the mood for tracing wires the other day so moved onto other jobs) Enough of my rambling........

Shame

Dan have you got a soldering iron? It's very easy to do if you have. Just have to follow a few guides on here and literally connect corsa to engine loom colour for colour.

If your stuck I'm sure us lot could help talk you through it?

Soldering is best IMO but crimps/scotch locks work just as well.

If youve got the kit to do it, I think you'd be able to do it yourself IMO and the car would be running in no time. It will either start or not start no real harm in trying

Edit-when doing mine I preferred to solder as it's more permanent in terms of connection and looks neater, like one complete loom once wrapped
