Its at Brean Leisure Park near Weston Super Mare. If you're in Bristol then its not too far from you! Its on the 26th and 27th Jan, and yes its a rally.

I know, there is such an uproar about Brean at the moment. But we got an entry so I'm happy!
We're doing the south west championship so won't be coming up that far, the furthest is Abingdon or Caerwent in Wales.

UPDATE: 29th January 2008
Well, we've now competed in the first event in the new car, this weekend at Brean Leisure Park.
We got to the finish, which was great as we only got the car sorted the day before the event due to the oil pump packing up!! We had a fairly trouble free run, apart from nearly running out of fuel on stage 10 (out of 12 stages), but that was my fault as i though 1/4 tank of fuel would do 1 stage!! Perhaps not.
But, as I said, we got to the finish, we were 32nd Overall and 4th in Class. Would've like to get 3rd in class but they were taking about 6 seconds per stage out of us!! And the first 3 in the class all had race tuned engines! So not too bad at all really.
So here's some pics and a couple of little vids:
1st service before the 1st stage:
Poser:
Sorting out the In Car Camera:
Some on stage action:
Thought I'd throw it round for the last stage!
On stage action again:
And at the end of the last stage:
Some of the competition:
Eric Weavers mint Anglia:
A blast from the past, my Mums old rally car that we haven't seen for at least 5 years!!
OOps:
And just a couple of vids:
Yes I do miss second gear!!!
And a fly by down the long straight, braking into a chicane:
Will try and post up some in car action at some stage.
Thanks to my Dad and Uncle for helping to get the car ready, and everyone that came with us and supported us at the rally.
Ben
PS. Next event is at Smeatharpe on 2nd March.

The washer bottle is from Demon Tweeks. The car is kinda quick, but needs to be quicker!
Cheers

Looks nice and nippy there. What brakes do you use? Any idea on how much it weighs?

Using standard Astra GTE discs on the front with Ferodo DS3000 pads. They are amazing!! Haven't used anything better!! Not sure how much it weighs but hoping to find out soon!

Wicked video, well mounted and good quality.
Did the sun not get in your eyes? Looks like it was!
Certainly seem to know the limits of the car, nice one

Hi mate, quick question on the front windows. have you fixed them in at all, or are they purely held in with the sealant at the top of the frame?

They're just held in with the sealant in the seals all round the window and a foam wedge in the bottom! It does the job..

Any pictures of the foam at the bottom? Can't picture it.
Got some polycarbs to go in next weekend and fully intend on gutting my doors in the same way that you have. Was going to throw afew screws through the window and into the frame to secure it, but if there's an easy way, then roll on
